The spring has sprung, the grass is rizz. (Winnie the Pooh)

With this beautiful weather I hope all the boys and girls had terrific holidays and have leapt into term four with enthusiasm. Headstart begins next week, so please make welcome not only the latest coterie of wide-eyed children all grown-up and on their own for the first time, but also welcome the new parents who make our community what it is. We know that they will become part of our family, contribute, learn and be supported by the other parents.

Trivia night is almost upon us. Tickets have been sold out for weeks, but if you haven't paid for yours or collected them, make sure you see Chris or Brett before Friday. The prizes on offer for raffles and fundraising on the night are simply amazing. Many thanks to the local businesses who have contributed so much, and even more thanks to the parents who are putting in so much time to make this night happen. It will indeed be an exciting night.

Congratulations to Anna Playford as the new president of the P&C. Anna will be speaking to many of you in the coming weeks about what you'd like to see happen within the P&C, so please introduce yourself when you see her around.

The next P&C meeting is next Thursday 18 Oct at 6:30pm in the computer room. We will be looking for a new secretary, since Michael needs to attend to children now that his wife is now president. Michael, thank you for all your excellent work in this role; your strong and calm presence on the committee has been a great help to everyone.  Anyone who would like to put themselves forward for the role, or just find out more about what is involved, should email committee@glebeschool.org.au or speak to one of the committee in the playground.

Finally we are looking for volunteers to help with the Wentworth Park games on Sunday 21 October. We will be selling fancy dog biscuits and t-shirts from 10am-2pm and the day has previously been a lot of fun. Please speak to Anna if you have time available or have a recipe for gourmet dog biscuits.

I look forward to seeing many you at trivia night this Friday!
