Glebe Street Fair - this Sunday
This Sunday, 17th, is the Glebe Street Fair. The P&C will be at this event in two capacities.
1. Selling Glebe tshirts, aprons and bags
2. Selling spots in our school carpark for $15 per car for the duration of the fair
These are great opportunities to showcase Glebe Public School, and also to make some money for our school. We are very much in need of your support on the day, if you are able to help either in the carpark or at the tshirt stall please email the committee, or see myself or Antonia to offer your assistance.

P&C Annual General Meeting - next Thursday 21 November
Joining the P&C Association is a great way to keep informed, to contribute to the education of your children and to make new  friends. Not only will you be supporting the school community but you will be  supported by the school community. You can learn new skills, and gain a clear understanding of how the school operates. Joining the P&C at Glebe Public School is a great opportunity to share in the school’s decision-making process and shape the future. At next week's AGM positions of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary will be available for election, or you can become a general untitled member of the committee. I have had a few queries about these positions and what they mean, very broadly:
The President provides leadership to the P&C including presiding at and chairing meetings of the P&C, acting as a representative of the P&C on committees such as the markets committee and in other liaison with the school and fostering good communication between the P&C, the school and the wider community
The Vice President provides support and assistance to the President, particularly representing the P&C on behalf of the President when the President is not able to do so
The Secretary prepares and manages correspondence on behalf of the P&C, prepares and collates meeting agendas, takes minutes at meetings
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial management of the P&C, preparing and presenting financial statements and budgets including the annual statement which is then audited
In practice, the way we operate is to support each other in all of these roles, but we also rely on the support of the broader committee which includes members of the P&C who are interested in being more involved in organising activities of the P&C such as community building, fundraising and  . We would particularly welcome members of our school community to become part of this P&C committee, we need your help to make Glebe Public School as great as it can possibly be.
