Trivia Night
What a wonderful week for the P&C with such a successful Trivia night on Friday. Thank you to so many members of our school (and larger) community for attending and supporting this event. Special thanks obviously go to the Coordinating Committee members: Verity for her fabulous idea and for coordinating such a marvelous night, Bec for her fundraising prowess, Thea for designing the posters, tickets and general ambiance, Brett and Chris who worked and coordinated ticket selling, everyone (and in particular Tracey) who collected all the wonderful prizes and last but by no means least Jamie for his dedication to creating a compelling list of questions, Whilst the fundraising efforts are important for our school, what was most pleasing was the way in which our school, and wider, community, came together to support Glebe Public School it was a fabulous feeling and we look forward to more of it in the future.
P&C Meeting
Don't miss this Thursday's P&C meeting, the grand unveiling of the profits from Trivia and your chance to discuss how our school community wishes to spend the money raised. We will also be electing a new secretary, hearing about what is going on around the school and discussing plans for the final term of 20120. The meeting will be from 6:30pm in the computer lab, we would love to see you there.
Wentworth Park Games
We also need volunteers to bake cakes and biscuits and to help run the Glebe Public School P&C Cake Stall at this Sunday's Wentworth Park Games. This year we will be selling home-made dog biscuits - as well as traditional human foods. If you are able to bake, please bring your goodies to the canteen by Friday afternoon (or to Wentworth Park on the day), and please clearly label them as fit for either canine or human consumption.
Working Bee
For any interested parents or carers, a team of volunteers from Johnson and Johnson will be coming to the school for a working bee on Thursday 25th October. They will be working on clearing up garden beds (including in the car park) and other general clean up around the school. If any interested parents have time on that day, and would be willing to assist, please register your interest with the office and you will be most welcome,
I wish to express my thanks to Ari Maniatis for stepping up and taking care of the P&Cs contribution to Glebe Matters over the last few months, the school community has much to benefit from your knowledge and enthusiasm
Cheers
