Telstra Kid's Fund Grant won for Hall Sound System Glebe Public School P&C has been selected as one of the community non-profit organisations within Australia that will share in Telstra's Kids Fund grants available through the Telstra Foundation. Initiated by Telstra employees, Telstra's Kids Fund has helped boost children's connections to their local communities for the past eleven years by providing improved facilities, programs and equipment to communities across Australia. The money is to assist with purchasing a new sound system for our assembly hall. Winter Waffle - Friday 20th June On Friday 20th of June the City of Sydney are hosting a free, family event at Glebe library. The event will include mini zine making, capoeira, silent disco and a tipp-kick comp. There will also be a sausage sizzle provided by us, the P&C. We will need help though, so if there is anyone keen to help organise beforehand, or come and sizzle sausages or sell sandwiches or tshirts on the night please let us know. Glebe t-shirts Our Glebe t-shirts, bags and aprons are still going strong. Last term we held a couple of screen-printing workshops for interested parents and friends. Jo, Jade, Carol, Kylie, Nicole, Kadi, Karen and Antonia all took part. We had a lot of fun and revealed some hidden artistic talents in our community! This term our screenprinting sessions will keep taking place in a semi-regular basis - usually Tuesday or Wednesday mornings in the canteen. We even have some brand-new tshirts and hoodies to print on thanks to donations from kind locals Mark and Loosie. Everyone is most welcome to lend a hand, or learn how to print for the first time.
