Welcome Back

We hope everyone from the Glebe Public School family has had a wonderful holiday - welcome back to Term 2 

P&C Meeting

The first meeting for Term 2 will be on Thursday 16th May at 6:30pm in the Computer lab. Linda will be providing childcare in Centipede. I know evenings are starting to get cold and wintery but we'd love to see you there, will have glasses (or mugs) of red wine available if that will ease the pain for anyone... 

Mothers Day Stall

The P&C are working together with year 5/6 to hold this year's Mothers Day stall. If there are any parents able to volunteer from 12:20-1:20 on Thursday 9th of May to help wrap up presents we would be most grateful. 

Movie Night

 We agreed to move forward with plans to host our first movie night - tentatively Friday 21st June. We will, however, need people to make an event like this happen. Please let us know if you are keen to help. 

Forest Lodge and Glebe (FLAG) Coordination group

FLAG is a forum for improving communication between residents and community groups in Glebe, and they are having a networking lunch on Wednesday 8th May from 11am-2pm. I will be attending as one of our P&C representatives but if anyone else from our school community is interested you are most welcome but do need to register your interest before the day. Please see me if it sounds like your kind of thing.

Sydney Alliance Assembly

For those who have not heard of the Sydney Alliance, in short they are a non-party political organisation that aims to bring together community organisations, unions and religious organisations to achieve positive change in local areas. On Monday 20th of May they are holding an event in the hall at St Scholastica Catholic College from 5:30pm and speaking at this event will be the CEO of Mirvac (who are building the Harold Park Housing development) and an apprentice to that project who has been given an opportunity through the work of the Sydney Alliance. If you are interested in attending this event you would be most welcome - please let me know as we need to register interest from Glebe Public School.
