P&C Meeting Thank you to everyone who attended last week's P&C meeting, the next one will be held on Friday 5th April at 9:30am for those who prefer a daytime option. Morning tea and childcare will be provided.
Getting involved with the P&CFor those who cannot attend P&C meetings, but are keen to get involved, there is a way. Getting involved is not only a great way to contribute to the school, but also an opportunity to get to know some other parents and staff from this wonderful school community. If it's not easy to grab someone you know is involved in the school playground you can send an email to your friendly P&C committee (committee@glebeschool.org.au). If you let us know your name, your childs name, your preferred contact details, what you are interested in doing and what your availability is (ie school hours, evenings, weekends etc) then we can let you know what things are available for those time slots when they come up. We would be most grateful for starting to assemble a list of this nature for all the busy times we know are ahead. Here are some of the sorts of things we are doing around the school:Tshirt printingWe are ready to screen print some more of our famous Glebe Pride tshirts. Printing usually takes place in the canteen during a school day, and we would love some available parents to help. No experience is needed and all the materials, instructions, a cup of tea and some parental bonding will be provided on the day. Either grab Antonia or myself in the playground or feel free to call, text or email to find out more or tell us your availability during the next week or two.Mitchell Street Fete
Sunday 24th of March is the date for the Mitchell Street Fete - an event which celebrates the strengths, interests and diversity of the Glebe community. As well as selling our famous Glebe pride tshirts, the P&C will also be running the BBQ and cake stall. We will need volunteers to help set up, to pack away, and especially for cooking and sales between 10am and 2pm. Anyone available to help out, please let either myself or Zonya know, and we'll start creating a roster. Harmony Day BBQAny parents willing and able to help out with providing the children with a BBQ during lunchtime on Thursday 21st March for Harmony Day, please let me know.
